1. The agreement
These terms are between you and My Private Edit, the seller and operator of this service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. You must be of legal age in your country and, if you act for a business, authorised to bind it.
2. The service
My Private Edit is a personal wardrobe and styling service: it catalogues your clothing, suggests outfits, tracks cost-per-wear and shopping budgets, and offers curated shopping guidance. Features vary between the free experience and the paid membership.
3. Payments and subscription
The membership is $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Web purchases are made through our reseller Paddle.com: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Purchases made in our iOS app are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's App Store terms. The membership renews on the selected monthly or annual billing period until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
4. Your account and content
Keep your credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account and for providing accurate information. You retain ownership of the photos and wardrobe content you add; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service to you.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no unlawful use, fraud or spam; no infringement of others' intellectual property; no malware, probing, scraping or interference with the service's security; no reverse engineering, resale, redistribution or circumvention of technical limits.
6. Our property
We own the service and its intellectual property — software, design, documentation and the My Private Edit brand. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan.
7. Availability, warranties and liability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profits, data or goodwill); our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations. When access ends you may request an export of your wardrobe data within 30 days, after which it is deleted.
9. General
We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of New York, and disputes will be resolved in its courts.
